Last night at work, I was putting up price tags around the store for this morning's ad release when a middle-aged man came up to me. He was asking about a Toshiba Satellite A85-S107 laptop (the very exact same I bought a few weeks back) and pointed to the red plastic backing for the price tag that said "REBATE". I told him that the rebate period had ended, and the rebate price tag was removed but somebody left the backing in place, so I went ahead and removed it. He got PISSED.

He started demanding that I give him the plastic backing, and I refused. I told him that there was nothing we could do, since it was a manufacturer rebate. Oh man, the asshole wouldn't listen to reason. He yelled at me and my manager, Chris, heard the commotion and came up. I told Chris what had been going on, and he tried to explain to the man the situation. He was still yelling and I was just standing there in the middle of the screaming match, trying to keep up with what they were saying.

Some people can be so hard-headed.

On the bright side, today was my last day at the Melbourne store. I'm transferring to the Orlando store on September 5th! YAY!
