More interesting political tidbits - by Gangis

Thanks to Slashdot, I found some interesting polifical news bits related to the election (or lack thereof.) Straight from Slashdot:

[...]the Common Dreams report that[sic] shows that optically scanned votes have a strange anomoly in Florida: the Touchscreen counties roughly matched up to party registration numbers, but optically scanned paper ballot counties showed strangeness like one county where 69.3% registered democrat, but only 28% of them voted for Kerry. Palm Beach County, Florida logged ; that machines in LaPorte, Michigan discounted 50,000 voters; in Columbus, Ohio voting machines gave Bush an extra 4,000 votes; in Broward County, Florida voting machines were counting backwards; Lastly, precincts in New Mexico gave provisional ballots that will never be counted to as many as 10% of all their voters.

This makes me EVEN MORE PISSED OFF, because I voted in Brevard County, and we had to fill in ovals on paper and feed it through a machine. Apparently the machines they used in Brevard County was from our favorite Republican-owned company, Diebold. As some of you may know, Diebold has a history of election fraud and is currently one of the largest contributors to the GOP (Good Old Party, aka the Republicans.)

You know, when I first started this blog, I swore to myself that I wouldn't get into politics, but I'm just so pissed off now about the current political situation and the dishonesty all over the country, along with the stupid, pointless war that has NOT accomplished anything other than lining GW Bush's pockets with cash. I mean, where are the WMDs? Where's the new government? Argh. Upsets me so much.
