The weekend - by Gangis

Had a LOT of fun last weekend. My very kind, sweet aunt gave me three free tickets to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. I invited my good friend Rich, and since another good friend Javier was already coming up from Miami to stay with me, I invited him as well. We had such a blast, but I was a little disappointed because we only had time to visit three or four major attractions. But it's all right, because like I said we had a blast. Imagine huge, burly guys covered in fake blood and gore, wielding a chainsaw and waving it two inches away from your face. Yep, good times.

It was nice hanging out with Rich, it was a last-minute decision for him since he lived an hour away and didn't have to show up for work on Thursday so everything worked out wonderfully for him. Javier is one of the coolest people I've ever known, he's really funny and is a great guy all-around. He helped me put together a quickie costume for the JACO Halloween Party (which, by the way, I have pics of here and here.) Also, if you're interested, I took pictures of the entire party here. I can't wait to hang out with Javi again. ^_^

Party was a lot of fun, I enjoyed myself. I also got my foot into the door to be a full fledged staff member of JACON, which will take place this May. I'm looking forward to it.

I've been following the news, and apparently there has been NINE typhoons and a few major earthquakes in Japan lately. That's really bad. I've been worried about my pen pal, Keisuke. I emailed Keisuke a couple of weeks ago because I discovered that it was a felony for one to send alcohol to/from Japan, so I wanted to inform him. I'm not sure if he got the mail, he hasn't replied and I haven't talked to him in so long. I do have both his apartment and his parents' home address so if I still can't get in touch with him, I'll try writing via snailmail. I feel really bad though, because I've been stressing myself over what to send him, and when I finally decide, I find out I can't send it. Argh. I also came to the realization that I know NEXT TO NOTHING about him, ie: his tastes, likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc. I feel like a failure because I wanted to get to know somebody from another country, especially one of the countries I really want to travel to someday, yet I can't even maintain email contact. *sigh* I feel really bad and guilty.

Oh well, back to work. I'm getting behind in my Statistics homework because my notetaker had to drop the class, and I had to have another one reassigned to me, so while I was waiting I didn't have notes to refer to while doing my homework. Oh yeah, I totally did a face-plant on the 2nd test for that class. >_< Argh. Statistics sucks.

Oh yeah. KERRY 2004! XD
