As you may have noticed, I've changed the color scheme of this site a bit and added semi-3D effects. I'd like to round out the corners of the blog area, but it requires slogging through photoshop and I don't feel like it right now. :P

I've been slowly but surely cleaning my room... Or at least trying to. I keep getting seriously distracted though. Ah well, at least I'll have it clean by the time I move out of this house.

I got a laser printer for free from Astro Too a couple weeks ago, and bought a toner for it for $25. It works beautifully, although a bit slow. And the EM interference it throws off is astounding; it's set about 10 feet away and the image on my monitor still shakes every five seconds whenever it's on.

I've been tracing my family lineage. Last night I discovered that the von Ledebur family originated in what is now Austria. There is a castle in Prague called von Ledebur Palais. The bloodline is filled with military generals and aristocrats, which is pretty interesting. On April 18th, 1903, Eugen Graf von Ledebur immigrated to the US from Austria through Ellis Island and I was able to get a copy of the passenger manifest. I don't think Eugen was a direct ancestor of mine, but possibly a cousin of my great-grandfather. My grandfather was born in Iowa, and his father was born in Pennsylvania. This is pretty fun and interesting! I'm part Austrian and part French. My mother's side is French, from the Plante bloodline. I haven't had the chance to trace that yet.

Well, I think I'm gonna go organize my important papers, been meaning to do that sometime. You know, sometimes I wonder who actually READS this blog...
